Awesome underlayer, this is a second order, the other one lasted 2 years before the foam pads started wearing out. It has decreased the amount of soreness after games and is thin enough to fit under jerseys well. My 5'6" 140 lbs son found the large size to fit correctly, he finds that the shoulder pad placement rolls a bit toward the back while wearing. The 3/4 sleeve is awesome as it stays put and away from the gloves. We are multiple repeat (over 5 years) customers because this company understands what keepers need and has high quality products that actually last.
My son wanted to go to the lighter, sleeker no finger-save gloves but wanted some type of support/protection. His coach suggested taping his fingers. So after a roll of tape and how to youtube videos later, he's on his 3 roll! Thumbs up from my keeper.
This is my sons second pair of Helix's. The first pair he used as game only gloves and they lasted him a through three outdoor and two indoor seasons. They are still in great shape, he just outgrew them. Went with the Helix again because of how much he liked the first pair.
